
Adelix Ltd has teamed up with the organisers of Linux User Expo to offer a FREE HotSpot service to visitors at the exhibition in April. The HotSpot, powered by WaveOS HotSpot software will allow visitors to access the Web and e-mail from their laptops or hand held devices (PDA) completely free of charge. Visitors will require an 802.11b wireless adapter (i.e. Linksys, Buffalo, Centrino) to use the service.
For security, access to the Web will be filtered by CensorNet, our open source Internet Management system used by hundreds of organisations worldwide.
Hotspots are becoming more and more popular in airports, cafe's (e.g. Starbucks), hotels and exhibitions. Internet access can be issued free of charge, or 'pay as you go' via credit card or by using a voucher system. WaveOS HotSpot software offers:
